I’m coming to you today with Alexandra Roxo, LA-based filmmaker and leader of Moon Club, to talk about starting up and running a matriarchal business! We discuss what it’s like leading rituals, rope play with Shibari, and how to be an empath in business.
With the full moon eclipse in Aquarius and the upcoming solar eclipse in Leo, we’re headed for an emotional and full throttle ride.
Since I had no post on Monday, I’ve decided to just craft a mini-survival guide for the next couple weeks, in lieu of a self help exercise according to the topic of the week.
Within all of this big big energy, we’re going to encounter three major things that will throw us for a loop. Here they are and how to keep your head on straight through it!
This eclipse season is going to crack your soul open in a deep way. This may leave you feeling unsafe or scared. Just remember to not shrink up. Change is amazing and transformative, and the epiphanies at this time can help to lead you on a new and vibrant path. Use your judgement and proceed with caution in your day to day, and remember to be gentle with yourself, but ultimately embrace the tide.
Life is MOVIN ladies! Quickly, I might add. In the face of a fast pace, I suggest taking a step back. Take things slowly, carefully, and deliberately. Try not to get swept up in anxiety and make impulsive moves that may land you in hot water. There is always time to breathe.
With a period of night and day becoming one, there is a lot of confusion running about this season. A great way to find clarity is to journal journal journal. If you use a notepad to structure your thoughts, you will find more ease in your days. This is a great time for regular meditation as well.
All in all, I wouldn’t go into eclipse season feeling afraid. Just prepare yourself with the right tools and stay cognizant of why certain feelings may be coming up. Stay level headed and stay witchy ( *)
Brought to you by popular demand: your very own, beginners, sex magic ritual!
Ok, so first things first, if you are looking to be more sexy, have better sex, or have a lot of sex, this is not where you need to be. Sex magick is a form of manifestation.
Sex and orgasms are energy, and this post will teach you how to harness that energy for greatness. This kind of energy is super powerful and works especially well on a full moon.
Alright, so here go the basics:
Step one is figuring out what you want to manifest. Get really specific about the thing you want most in life. Write it out and charge it with an intention. You have to give energy to receive.
Then we’re going to assign this object a symbol of some sort. You can make your own, or attribute a picture to it. Make sure it is visible in your minds eye.
And now for the fun part! Either by yourself, or with a partner, it’s time to get busy 😉 Build yourself up slowly so you can release as much energy as possible.
Finally, when you are just about to climax, hold the image you wish to manifest in your minds eye. Hold it there steady and clearly while you orgasm. This flow of energy will charge the manifestation and make your wish cum true!
Sex magick for beginners is not only quite simple, but very powerful. Full moon energy, helps to enrich the manifestation, but is not necessary. Be free to practice as much as you like, but remember, if you get greedy and start manifesting everything, you might create an energy shift you won’t be happy with. Work on one thing at a time, give thanks to the moon, and stay witchy ( *)
Do you have recurring dreams? Or do you just want some more insight into what your mind is trying to tell you?
Buy a pretty dream book and let’s get journaling!
I like to keep crystals and a dream journal on my night stand. I suggest that if you have recurring dreams you should, too. Having your dream journal handy when you wake up is essential for remembering what you dreamt.
Write down every single detail you can remember. Don’t worry about making sense of it now, just write it down.
Try to write a summary of the dream the best you can. Writing a storyline can also help you to figure out exactly what’s going on in there.
Once you’ve written down everything you can remember, I suggest just putting the book down until you have a weeks worth of dreams. Then the fun starts.
When you have a weeks worth, try to connect the dots. Is someone wearing a specific color? What do you associate that color with? Is someone saying something to you? What did they say? Can you see faces? Try to pick out themes from these observations.
Remember, dreams don’t have specific meanings. Your dream is like your own made up universe: you have created all of the language and metaphors. So if you look up in a dream book what a bridge means, it won’t mean the same thing to you, because that author hasn’t lived your life and collected your memories. This is an exercise in authenticity.
So what did you find? Did you explain some unexplainables? Or is there more exploring to do? If you need a helping hand and can’t figure out what your brain is trying to tell you, let me help you. Otherwise, keep journaling and stay witchy ( *)
In the past, when I started to date someone new, I wouldn’t tell anyone about it in the beginning. I was terrified that it would end and I would look dumb for being excited. I originally put out into the universe that the relationship would fail.
Here I was bringing all of the anxiety of the Moon with me. The energy of my fears was more powerful than my excitement, so what manifested into reality? The fear, of course.
I was so married to the outcome that I just couldn’t enjoy the ride. As the Magician, who upright suggests careful planning and action, reversed displays a lack of direction. Because I was too focused on my fears and the “inevitable” fail (because at this point I didn’t think I deserved love) my anxieties would take the wheel and steer me off course. My lack of clarity and inability to pinpoint what I wanted and how to get it allowed my fears to push me over to the side and take center stage.
So if you are stuck in this place where you are constantly failing in relationships, try to look at your involvement in them. Are you putting out a palpable energy out into the universe, or constantly picking partners with an expiration date? If so, it’s time to switch gears and turn that Magician right side up. Stay witchy ( *)
Welcome to the first 2017 installment of Witchcrafts! Today I am going to teach you how to make Moon Water, which you can start making on February 10, the second full moon of the year!
Moon Water is very easy to make and has many spiritual and magical qualities. It can be used in rituals, to drink, or in accompaniment with a bath to enhance relaxation. I’ve also made Moon Water vessel necklaces that I added to my Etsy shop!
I made my batch of Moon Water during the Super Moon in November, and still haven’t run out yet.
First, I suggest getting a large glass vessel, something that the full moon light can seep through. Then fill the vessel with purified water, and if you feel so inclined, you can charge it with an intention or purify it further with sage. Whatever you feel best cleanses and adds importance to your Moon Water should be done prior to the full moon.
Once you’ve completed your cleansing, place the vessel in a spot where it can receive the most light from the full moon. I put mine on the roof of my complex. Let it sit there over night.
Bring the vessel back in come morning, and voila! Moon Water!
As a ritualistic practice and a beautiful metaphor for clean energy, I love the meaning of Moon Water and have therefore created a pendant with an amethyst (for clarity) floating inside. Look for it on my Product Page!
Stay clear and stay witchy ( *)
