Why so serious?

Aside from clinical depression and anxiety, running around life can cause a myriad of stresses, from money, work, family, love, health… shit, even which cat food brand to buy can be stressful!

Unfortunately, stress is a big manifestation killer. So, how do we minimize stress and maximize enjoyment?

Lately I’ve been wondering about this myself, because my schedule has consisted of working from home, working at my side hustle, sleep, and repeat. It’s starting to affect my mood, and when that happens, I’m pretty sharp at taking notice.

So, recently I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do to inject some happiness when I’m feeling stuck. Like, when I’m working away and feeling uninspired, I think, “How can I feel better right now?”

And usually it’s putting on some Ke$ha and taking a dance break.

If I’m stuck in my side hustle and can’t seem to shake the frustration and anger, I list the things that make me happy in my head. If it’s real bad, I run to the bathroom and tap or meditate for a few minutes until I can get back to baseline. Or, I even tell a joke to a coworker, even if I’m not feeling it, just to see their reaction.

These small practices bring The Sun into my life and help it to shine a little brighter. It helps me to have a little fun and not take life so seriously. Taking everything so damn seriously will drive you crazy! And there’s always a way to let brightness in through the clouds that you deem so important.

Use the Four of Wands to remind you to celebrate! You’ve got a beating heart and a brain in your head, so use them to make life the party that it is! You might feel beaten down, run over, and overwhelmed, but honey, it just DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.

So, what makes you happy? When do you feel your most fulfilled? And how can you lighten the mood? Get thinking and stay witchy ( *)

Happy Samhain/ Halloween!!!

img_4631Tomorrow is a day for celebration. It’s the Pagan New Year, and just an all out fun ass day!

Halloween has been my favorite holiday since I was a child. With my birthday on the 29th, dressing up, and free candy, it’s hard not to absolutely adore!

Things to remember/ ways to celebrate Samhain:

  • Take a moment to remember the deceased in your family. The air between the dead and the living is thinnest on this day, so meditate and try to connect with those you love and miss.
  • Gather Autumnal findings and create an alter dedicated to this gorgeous day!
  • Use divination (tarot, pendulums, runes, etc.) for guidance on the year to come.
  • Reflect on the past year and celebrate yourself for progress. Even if the year way tough, you made it through! So celebrate 🙂
  • Dress up and get wicked!
  • Watch scary movies, or one’s about witches. The Craft is my personal favorite 🙂

However you choose to celebrate, do it safely and with intention. I adore you all, Happy Halloween, and stay witchy ( *)

Taking Vacations

Hello witches! This week I am on V A C A T I O N *****

My little sister graduated so we went to watch her walk the stage in Northern California, have road-tripped down to Vegas (where I am currently) and will be heading back to my home town of little old Los Angeles on Wednesday for a few days.

Currently, I am embracing the Nine of Pentacles by enjoying the fruits of my labor. I have been working my buns off and now it is time to enjoy some fun in the sun 🙂

The Three of Cups is all about celebration and community, and being around my family has all of my wishes fulfilled. It’s hard to live so far away from them, but it makes the time we have together so much more special.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer. Stay witchy ( *) !!

Finding Your Tribe

four-ofwands-fenestra-tarot

The Four of Wands signifies celebration, harmony, and community. It represents the completion of a milestone and the festivities to follow.

This is a very positive card, and exists when things are in full balance. This card exists with a basis of a strong community, i.e. your tribe.

Finding your core people can take a lifetime. Many people will come in and out of your life on a daily basis, but finding those that support you, help you grow, and love you for all that you are is no easy task. When you find these people, you hold on to them dearly.

I am fortunate enough to have quite a few core people in my life. Some people come into your life only when you are ready for them. Some people appear when you need them. But the appreciation for their friendship comes with maturity. I had to burn some bridges to figure that out. I, unfortunately, learn things the hard way. That meant a few lost friends along the way.

Through spiritual growth, I met some very strong women and appreciate them for the qualities they possessed. They inspire me. And the overwhelming support I have received through my many ups and downs in life has been unparalleled. I am very fortunate to have such an amazing tribe. Stay appreciative and stay witchy ( *)
