Happy Full Moon all! I’ve missed you this month!
I have been curating an anthology for Sexual Assault Awareness month, scheduling events, and booked solid with readings. It’s been an incredible month, but I’ve missed writing!
This month our Full Moon falls in the sign of Libra, which is a sign of community and others. It opposes our fiery sign of Aries in the Sun, which is of the self. It is also a Blue Moon, or the second full moon in a month, and occurring during Mercury retrograde.
Lot’s of energy in the sky!
If you’re part of my ritual subscriptions, you’ve already seen the emails go out for manifesting on this Full Moon. It’s a special Full Moon, as are all, but in the way that it is complex in nature. We find a duality of the self versus the community, we must speak with heartfelt and careful intention (because our messenger planet is retrograde,) and we have extra oomph in this power because of the Blue Moon.
So be careful with your casting, because this moon is nuanced!
That being said, for this past month I have been hyper focused on my self with the return of Aries. Health has been a major concern for me. The snow is melting, the weather is getting slowly warmer, and I’ve been inspired to treat my body with TLC.
Usually, I live like a total bachelor. Grub Hub is ordered at least three times a week, I don’t cook, and I love fatty foods. During the winter, I have many excuses for comfort food, but living by myself has prompted me to adult just a little better.
I went on a food shopping spree, learned to cook two meals, and prepped some easy to grab things for my fridge. The issue behind my poor eating habits is laziness, so I learned to navigate around that by spending an hour in the kitchen on Monday preparing a pasta and some chicken for the week.
No more excuses!
My skin regimen has also been on pointe for the past month. I have been using a jade facial roller, washing my face twice a day, using a face serum and hyper hydrating face lotion, and my skin has been looking superb! I’ve also been drinking a lot more water, and I can tell that my body feels nourished.
Being focused on self care has done wonders for my self confidence, and adding that extra bit of intention just gives me so much joy and gratitude.
For this Full Moon, however, I have been meditating a lot on how to better serve my community. For over a week prior to this Full Moon energy, I have been asking myself the deep questions on how to better serve all of you.
I have abolished a lot of what I thought was gimmicky or inauthentic from my marketing. I have set bigger boundaries. And while that is self focused, it also allows me to better and more genuinely serve my community.
And that’s what this Full Moon is all about.
So celebrate well, my witches, and know that caring for yourself first helps you to be a better teacher, lover, manifestor, and witch.
Stay witchy babes! ( *)
