When You’re Stuck in a Negative Energy Vacuum

img_4041
I have been in a situation that I will allude to cryptically, but it is not one I can easily walk away from. There are a lot of personalities that I’ve come across lately that include entitlement and plain disrespect, and it’s kind of turned my entire world upside down.

When faced with a barrage of negativity as a generally positive and peaceful person, I get affected. And lately I have started to question my core beliefs because of this. Is the universe echoing to me what I’m putting out? Is manifestation even real? How is it possible that I can let this get to me so completely?

Which is why this situation is affecting my world around me. I’m absorbing and regurgitating these bad juju’s and I’m having encounters with people that I’ve never had before. Negative, awful, run ins. When I thought I had reached the light at the end of the tunnel, I was dropped into quicksand. Everything is cycling around me and it’s hard to see past the spiral.

Before I go on, let me be clear, as an empath, I understand what being sensitive actually is. It is not being dramatic, it is not flipping out or being easily offended. It is exactly what it is defined as:

adjective quick to detect or respond to slight changes, signals, or influences; (of a person or a person’s behavior) having or displaying a quick and delicate appreciation of others’ feelings.

Which is why, when I am disrespected, talked down to, and belittled, I get affected. No, it is not because I believe I am unworthy. I’ve been through that before and no one can tell me I am not good enough anymore. But it’s because I sense the place that the other person is coming from, and it is a point of pain and insecurity. It is a small and infantile energy that pokes and prods and I want nothing to do with it, yet I’m somehow confined to continue dealing with a toddler that keeps flipping the back of my neck.

So…

Which do you choose? The blue pill, or the red pill?

As a seeker of knowledge and truth, the red pill is not only attractive, it’s necessary for survival. I choose not to see a situation as an isolated interaction, but rather what it says about the entire environment. And because I choose to not live in ignorance, I have the power to step out of the matrix and redirect in a positive path.

I see the person who belittles as the small child that they are. Yes, it is annoying, but there is always a way out. It’s not my responsibility to parent the child, but it’s my responsibility to take care of myself. I ultimately can leave the playground if I choose to.

This involves Strength to see past the chaos of the Tower. Inevitably, the dissolution of this entire situation will bring more positivity than negativity, but it is up to me to dig myself out of the rubble. When something is not working, you either fix it, or accept that it is beyond repair.

So, witches, I have bad days too. I’ve had many in a row, actually. But I can get past them, and so can you, Stay strong, and stay witchy ( *)

Why My Rituals Are So Powerful (and Why You Need Them in Your Life!)

IMG_0491_Fotor

Practicing intentional symbolic action takes place all over the world at any given time and creates a directed energy that is palpable. Think of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. That’s a ritual that Americans practice every year and you can actually feel the vibrations coursing through the stadium, and even the living room you’re watching in with a chicken wing in hand. Ritual work is incredibly moving, literally anyone can do it, and utilizing the power of Full and New Moons magnifies the strength of the energy.

But why is it so powerful? What makes this kind of practice work?

  1. Setting a directed intention:
    • When you focus on something, you give it power. And ritual work is no exception. The moon cycle is a great time to set and harvest intentions, and when you really want to achieve or heal something, this is a sacred time and space to be able to do so. All of the thought and energy you pour into what you truly desire will be amplified by this magical work. This is why it feels so great to act it out!
  2. Meditation:
    • Whether you’re using a crystal, the flame of the candle, or simply sitting still, incorporating meditation into ritual work helps to open the third eye and allows us to receive messages. It clears space in our head away from the chaos and allows a mystical energy to flow through. Envisioning yourself lighter or enveloped by a color or aura helps to open certain chakras and foster alignment.
  3. Symbolism:
    • Gathering things that represent the fruition of your intention gives it power as well. If you seek to be more grounded, collecting stones and things of the earth help to place that idea in the forefront. It makes it tangible.
  4. Journaling:
    • Like many witches, I use journaling in my rituals. Coming into a meditative state and free flowing words with which I hold in my subconscious helps to bring them to light. The act of physically writing down my dreams and intentions helps to purposefully put them out into the universe. And as far as manifestation goes, it really works.

These are elements that I use in all of my rituals, and I have gotten rave reviews from every client that has used them. The rewards received from completing a ritual have been an incredible uplifting feeling, clarity, mindfulness, grounding energy, alignment and more. Usually they cost 50$ per ritual, but right now I have a subscription package that costs 1$ per ritual for an entire year. That is a one time payment of 24$ to have a Full and New Moon ritual right in your inbox 1-2 days before each cycle. That is so much value for the price of a couple of Starbucks coffees.

A Simple Alignment Meditation

IMG_3726

Alright, so you’ve been feeling out of whack. You blame it on alignment. So now what?

A really simple way to wake up your chakras is by meditation and focusing on each center of energy. Remember, energy healing is a very careful practice, so if your misalignment comes from a trauma that has affected your feeling of safety, this meditation may not entirely work for you. It can’t hurt though, so feel free to give it a whirl!

Starting by completely lying down, hands by your side, in what Yogis call “corpse pose.” Center yourself and get to a place of relaxation and peace. Clear your mind and try to let your thoughts drift away.

Then, once you feel centered, bring your attention to each chakra, starting from your crown moving all the way down to your root. There are seven (crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and root.) Be sure to be patient with each, and envision the energy as a ball of light in their specified color.

Take your time to notice what the ball of energy looks like. Are there some that are brighter than others? If so, focus your attention on those that are more dim, and try to work with them until their light becomes vibrant. Focus on them and breathe energy deeply into the power center.

Once you have all of your chakras emitting about the same amount of energy, picture all seven lighting up on your body at once. Feel exactly what it is like to be in alignment, and  breathe steadily, but powerfully, in and out.

When you are ready, flutter open your eyes. You should feel more energized after this meditation to go about your day.

After your meditation, take note of which chakras seemed to be more difficult to work with. Is your heart not cooperating? Is your sacral sleeping? Take note of what needs work and do specific meditations and crystal work to help bring these chakras out of a dormant state. Get meditating and stay witchy ( *)
